Batanga Tequila is crafted by Casa Orendain, founded in 1926 and recognized as one of the four founding families of the modern tequila industry. Our award-winning tequila is made with 100% blue Weber agave using old-world methods passed down for generations. Our hand-harvested agave piñas are cooked in traditional-style masonry brick ovens, imparting nuances of cinnamon, clove, and other warming spices from the delicate process of caramelizing sugars.
SPICY APPLE MARGARITA
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz Batanga Tequila Reposado
1 ½ oz Fresh Apple Cider
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz Agave Syrup
Ground Cinnamon
Cayenne Pepper
Flaky Sea Salt or Cocktail Salt
DIRECTIONS:
For salt rim, combine the salt with one pinch each cayenne and cinnamon and mix together with your fingers until it's a uniform color. Dump it out on a plate and prepare an empty rocks glass by running a lime wedge around the edge of the glass. Dip the wet glass rim in the salt mixture until the rim is coated. Fill your glass with ice and set aside.
In a shaker, combine the tequila, apple cider, lime juice, agave syrup, a pinch each cayenne and cinnamon, and ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds and double strain into your ice-filled glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or a strip of orange zest, if you’d like.
